![]() FCS is the trading name used by Alan Cornock, who has been involved in the motor racing industry for more than 35 years. Alan started as a junior mechanic for Royale Racing and progressed to become general manager of the company. In 1974, he took over ownership of Royale and ran the company successfully for 11 years. During that period, more than 750 cars were designed and built, scoring many victories and winning numerous championships world-wide. Whilst heading Royale, Cornock ran a race team in Formula Ford 1600, winning the constructors' title and triple crown with Kenny Acheson. Royale Racing also guided many other drivers to championship titles including Rick Morris and Mike Taylor. In 1985, Royale was sold to American investors, but Cornock retained the design and manufacturing rights to all Royale models from the RP1 to the RP31. Right to the present day, FCS supplies spares for these cars through a busy mail order business. |
Following
the sale of Royale, Alan joined forces with Mike Taylor and was
appointed worldwide dealer for Reynard Formula Ford 1600 and Formula
Ford 2000 cars. FCS took responsibility for the assembly and distribution
of the cars and built 200 Reynards, which were sold through a network
of dealers. FCS also ran a very successful race team, winning British
titles for drivers including Bernard Dolan, Gareth Rees, Dino Morelli
and Jose Cordova along with constructors' titles for Reynard. Although
the contract with Reynard concluded in 1992, a spares service for
the cars was still provided. Following the Reynard contract, Cornock was appointed sales agent for the Vauxhall Lotus race cars, and this association soon extended to acting as sales and technical consultant for their Formula Vauxhall Junior and Vauxhall Vectra SRi Saloon car Series. Over recent years Alan has developed a large and successful race car sales business. This includes a brokerage service where cars are displayed in a proffessional environement and sold on a commision basis for the owner. This service is available on a worldwide basis and details of current stock can be found in the "For Sale" section on this site. |

FCS still specialises in the supply of parts for all ROYALE models and are exclusive UK dealers for the French
race car constructor MYGALE. This agreement reunited Bertrand Decoster Mygales founder and Alan Cornock, as Decoster
started his racing career in a Fulmar Reynard Formula Ford back in 1988, built by Cornock. FCS no longer deal in Reynard parts having sold all stock to James Howe. |
FCS carry a large range of parts in stock for Mygale models from SJ2000 Zetecs to the latest Ecoboost models.
Any other items can be obtained direct from the factory on a special fast track order scheme. A recent addition to FCS portfolio is the apointment as an official dealer for used Radical Sportscars. The factory supply FCS with selected approved cars which are displayed in FCS premises and offered for sale world wide. Finally, Alan Cornock has been a member of the Motorsports Industry Association since its inception and served on the committe for 11 years. He now represents the MIA on the Motor Sports Association Technical Advisory Pannel and is a current BRDC member. |
